About RETN:

RETN is one of the fastest growing independent Eurasian network providers, with unique resources to connect Europe and Asia. With a wide range of connectivity services, including IP transit, ethernet and VPN, capacity, remote peering to major IXPs, colocation, cloud connect and DDoS protection, RETN has multiple systems serving more than 1,700 customers around the world.
Establishing a good connection:
As a highly technological company, driven by engineers, RETN has a substantial number of systems. In the past they were mostly providing point solutions, thus as the company has grown and evolved, a lot of manual work was starting to be required in order to run the business. On its journey of automation and efficiencies improvement to help the business to scale to the next level, RETN required a unified architecture for data exchange between its multiple systems; and turned to ddroidd for its expertise on how this could be achieved.
Project Delivery 1

Project Delivery

ddroidd worked closely with RETN to understand its ecosystem, business logic, integration between the systems, efficiencies, dependencies, pain points, how the systems communicated, and how they were technically implemented. Following the workshops and discovery phase, ddroidd was able to develop a new technical strategy that included recommended technologies, team structures and key milestones, essentially a ‘blueprint’ for a more unified architecture that would increase performance and improve efficiencies.

ddroidd identified operational improvements that a new technology architecture could help to embed. The strategy was to focus on automated, self-service and optimised business processes that empower the user and ensure no errors, as well as significantly reducing paperwork overtime.

Project outcome:

ddroidd delivered a full audit of RETN’s systems and provided in-depth analysis of how the architecture could be rebuilt in a more unified way, efficiently and effectively connecting all systems. A technical ‘blueprint’ was created with recommended technologies, team structures and key milestones. RETN used this technical strategy to develop a plan to rebuild and implement its new ecosystem.
