QA Automation Engineer

You’ll provide a critical overview of technical projects to ensure effective performance, by collaborating closely with the wider team to deliver high quality software. Your forethought will mean that end-to-end functionality meet initial expectations, by performing user story analysis, keeping a good level of understanding of the functional and non-functional requirements, and defining acceptance criteria. Identifying and proposing best tools, practices, and areas of growth, along with developing improvement suggestions as needed will help assure product quality.  

Day-to-day you will: 

• Design, develop and maintain relevant and robust test automation scripts 

• Integrate the test automation artifacts within the CI/CD pipeline 

• Investigate automated test failures, report and track defects found, validating fixes

Already proficient in software development processes and QA methodologies, you’ll bring at least 4 years of proven experience in managing IT projects, plus a BSC in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field. You’ll also have a good understanding of object-oriented concepts. 

In terms of technologies, you’ll demonstrate knowledge of: 

• Programming languages such as C#, Java, or JavaScript

• Automated test development for web-based applications using Selenium or Cypress

• API automation (RestAssured, RestSharp, Postman, or ReadyAPI)

• SQL (basic knowledge) 

Working in CI/CD environments (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) plus experience in Performance & Security Testing would be an advantage.   

A confident communicator, both internally and with clients, along with advanced written and spoken English are a must.
